Now working in Prince AV LLC Dubai, Aby Eugin was a student of 2011 – 2012 August Batch conducted for 1 year Diploma in Sound Engineering and Sound Recording. An individual who is keen to learn new aspects of Sound Engineering has associated again with the academy for the recently concluded SEA Music Band Festival.
Being an adaptive individual and has leveraged his skills in solving the technical issues that popped up during the 4th edition of the festival moreover he has helped the students of the current batch in successfully completing their live sound reinforcement project.
A person hailing from Pallithura, Trivandrum has never turned back after diploma course from the academy and has immediately joined an AV rental company in Hyderabad.
While talking with him about his work related experience he disclosed the fact that, when he joined the company he was very much technically updated than those who joined the company who passed out of other institutes.
He told that he felt gracious several times about the course and institute he has chosen for studying Sound Engineering several time in his professional life as his knowledge he gained from the institute has acted as a survivor in several occasions.
During the talk he has specifically mentioned about how Audio Electronics and Electrical topics covered during the course has benefited him in handing real world projects.
The Diploma course from the academy has helped him to use newly added equipment in the company with ease and assisted him in updating himself to emerging technologies in the field.
Aby was in Hyderabad based company for 2.5 years with hectic schedules of live sound reinforcement projects. He asserted the fact that projects which were done in field of Music Production, Audio for Film and Live Sound Reinforcement project during the course has enabled him in solving real world issues with least amount of time.
Currently handing more than 60 live shows in a month, Aby Eugin is now working with an AV firm in Dubai, since January 2015.
When asked about experience in Dubai when compared to India he told that the difference is quite evident as day and night especially with regard to working environment. AV firms doing business abroad are giving more importance to the safety of the sound engineers which Indian companies are not concerned enough.
Replying to the question on what you would like to tell to current students of sound engineering he told that after completing the course, initially gain ample experience in India at least for an year and seek for opportunities in abroad later on. Because after working in an AV firm in India, the job will be quite easier in firms abroad as the working environment is much better and work will easier as we will be provided with sophisticated AV equipment.
